Bio

Mary DuBose is the Associate Director of Geographic Analysis for CAESER. She started working at the University of Memphis in 2013 while still a student at Rhodes College. Mary worked at both the Center for Partnerships in GIS and the Ground Water Institute, which merged in 2015 to form CAESER. After earning a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Rhodes, she began working at CAESER full-time, and has been involved in many elements of CAESER’s operations over the years, including conducting fieldwork for groundwater research, educating the public with the Water on Wheels, and leading GIS projects for the City of Memphis, MLGW, and other clients. Her current role at CAESER includes managing the center’s IT infrastructure as well as leading the geographic analysis division. One of her favorite things about working at CAESER is the opportunity to learn new skills, from performing GIS analyses in ArcPro or QGIS to Python scripting and database management.
